Post Just got a black roll bar...which lights to use???

I just got a black double/single roll bar from the wife for christmas. I was thinking about using 4 black 150 watt KC Daylighters on it. Anyone have any suggestions?

Happy New Year!!!

I've got PIAA's on mine right now, but I'm planning on going with Lightforce's within the next few months (www.lightforce.com)

probably going to start out converting a few then if I like them as much as I think I will I'll do all of them. Yeah that'd be a whole lot of work .

I've got 4 eagle eyes I got for really cheap from TA4L.com. I think they ended up costing me $17.95 a piece. Look and work just like KC's but for a heck of a lot less.

crazedf1, thanks. I'll let everyone knows how they work out once installed. The guys from lightforce were all real nice (can't say that for many of the other lighting competitors that were at the SEMA show this year!) and we spent a good 45 minutes talking about their product. One of the neatest things they do to show off how shatter-resistant their lights are is to take them and throw them against the ground as hard as they can, it just bounces around . Plus they seemed to throw out a real good amount of light and one of the coolest features about them was what I called the "maglite" feature (you rotate the lens and it focuses or spreads out the beam of the light). They only have lights in three sizes, 140mm, 170mm and 240mm.

I got mine through JC Whitney. It's a grizzly roll bar, JC Whitney calls them "show bars". you can find them at www.jcwhitneyusa.com. I think mine was around $400 but Id ont remember exactly.

yeah... most were at least semi-friendly, but it really worked out ofr lightforce, like I said I was so impressed I'm switching over brands (at least half and half).
One of my main missions at SEMA was to check out other lighting competitors and see what they had to offer and how they stood up to PIAA. I'd been given a PIAA nametag holder and all so I'd walk around say hey, I'm a PIAA sponsored vehicle, but I'd like to learn more about other products so can you tell me what you've got. Some of the salespeople (like lightforce and the guys from KC) were helpful and friendly and good at showing me how there stuff compared to PIAA's, showed me the inner workings on some of the lights, etc. Some other brands (eagle eye, hella, pro-comp) that were there basically said "well if your PIAA sponsored then why are you wasting your time with us?" "well I'm not now!" LOL.

My wife got mine off of ebay for $170. It was a sweet deal. Installing it was a little bit of a pain because it didn't come with the original mounting hardware. I'm very very happy with it anyway. I think I might try out light force too. I saw a sale on em in my 4wheeler mag. I hope it's still going on!
