My Truck

I have a 1997 Ford F 150 REg CAb Longbed. IT is a manual with the V-6 in it. It is White with a bedliner and railliners. It has little options but is in superb conditon. What price would you estimate the truck to be? Also i am thinkin aoubt lowering it with an airride kit. Is this a good idea. I am also get 2 10" subs and euro tailights. Do you think it will look good after i am done? also so i consider a had top tonneau cover? anysit4es that would help?

It would help if I knew what kind of miles you are looking at but seeing how its a 97 it should have some. I would say that anyone asking between $10,000-$13,000 would be fair. I got mine with the v6 manual with no options like any power stuff nor any split bench seat but it did come with a sliding rear window with 13,000 miles on the clock and it was a 99 and i got it for 13000 out the door.

it has 68,000 miles. I only paid 7,000 for it and there is nothing wrong with it. So that sounds like i got a good deal. Thank you.

You can read my mod list at bottom but let me just say it now.
F150's are about the hardest thing to air bag correctly.

Dont have people say they can do you truck for under 3k. period

if they say that, they are not running a business, they are doing it in thier spare time and not making money off of it so when they get halfway though it they are going to get tired of the job and slap it together and it will look like crap. a good bag job, which will consist of atleast
1)1/2 inch lines (copper)
2)1/2 valves
3) Nitrogen or Healum tank
4) compressor
5) 3 gallon resvere tank (you will need this if you plan to play with the bags at all)
6) latter bars (2 link or 4 link) This is important cause if they keep the leaf springs, your rear will drop very slowly and ride like crap
7)new a arms in the front so it doesnt have camber on it
8) some bends in the bed.
If you get all that you will pay about 3.5k but it will
1) lay frame
2) you will not have camber on the front wheels
3) you can tuck 20's
4) you will not scrap the transmission bracket and break it
5) you will beable to grind frame.

I have spent about 5k on my bags (got screwed the first time) but i know them inside and out. Heed my warning and take it to someone with experence in f150's and dont rush them, even if you ahve to go a few hundard miles, when it comes down to it, would it be better to go hundard miles once then 40 miles many times to get it fixed?

Good Luck
