replacing starter in 1981 f150
Do I need to take off the exhaust headers to get the starter off? Or is there an easier way?

Never knew you could get a V-6 in a 1981.

it has an inline 6. am i in the wrong forum?

Yeah, this is only V6. Scroll down, you'll see "Pre 1997 Models." You'll get much more help there.
