2011 3.7 drop in mpg

i have a 2011 screw with the 3.7, i have been driving the same as always keeping it under 2k rpms and my last 2 tanks my mileage has dropped drastically.

i used to get 15-18 depending on how much freeway driving i do. my last 2 tanks i have barley gotten 14 mpg. if anything i should be getting better mileage since i have been driving on the freeway a lot more. the only thing i could think of is i have been driving on dirt/mud more (i work at a shooting range and the parking lot sucks) could it have gotten something dirty? i thought it was the gas brand at first but i ruled that out. this might sound stupid but could i be getting worse mileage since its hotter outside? has this happened to anyone else?

If you are running the AC a lot during your work @ the shooting range your mpg will drop. The last heat wave forcing me to use AC killed my mpg due to my driving around town so much lately.

Are you idleing more? What about wind or wet streets. Ell these affect the mpg drastically.

Well given so many variables, I'm pretty sure its safe to say your truck is running fine. Eliminate the others to find the drop.

That's a heavy truck, small variables probably add up

I will. Also I got my gas cap fixed and the dealer said the throttle inlet was dirty. But he also said my windshield wiper water spout was clogged. It's not at all. My dad said dealers do this kind of crap all the time
