97 f150 4.2L updated lower intake manifold gaskets?

97 f150 4.2L updated lower intake manifold gaskets?
Hi I just bought a 97 4.2L F150 and went to the dealer and bought the lower intake manifold gaskets and there 3mm thick are these the updated gaskets?

Please reply with info thanks.

I'd take them back or at least call the dealer to see if they have a set that is 4mm. 4mm I believe is the updated one. Don't get the Felpro, get the ones made by Ford.

So the gaskets I need are form the 98 4.2L? These gaskets are the 4mm thick

I'm pretty sure Ford isnt going to sell you gaskets they know are faulty. The correct MY was the 99 that had the new gasket change.

Ok so I took the 3mm back and got the 4mm. Will the 4mm from the 98 4.2L fit my 97 4.2L?

There should be no problem, I had 4mm ones installed on my 97 and that was 4 yrs ago, with no issues.

Ok kool another question what about the front and rear gaskets for the intake manifold were they different sizes also?

Sorry I don't remember, I think I just went with the stock size from the dealer. You can always call them and ask.
