Just get rid of em, this issue has been around for 3 years now and Ford is still ****ing around with it. I spent 50k on a f150 platinum EB, 3600 miles, 11 issues, 3 dealerships, and 2 Ford reps later I traded it in for my current Tundra.... so far 5000 miles of trouble free operation.

Sounds like they need like oil catch can for the intercooler to get the water out. Or the internal design of the intercooler is poor. Wonder what the difference is in the sho and truck coolers. Maybe inlet and outlet positions are different

Here's a video I found on the internet. This is exactly what happens to mine. However, it only does this when it is raining or very foggy outside.

Although I don't have my f150 anymore, i do have many buddies that do so I'm constantly hearing the developments. If your satisfied by paying 40k+ on a truck that has issues then more power to ya.

What Ford needs to do is install a drain, pipe the condensate to the exhaust manifold to turn it to steam and either return it to the intake or just vent the moisture off. They could also install a bronze orifice in the bottom of the cooler to drip the condensate out which would be a cheap fix. You'd think as much as they pay these clowns they'd have a fix for these high dollar clunkers. There's absolutely no excuse for this to have gone on this long. If Ford intends to make EB technology mandatory on all of its engines, they better get this right and soon or they'll find themselves at the bottom of the sales reports. Frankly, I wouldn't have one especially when a comparable 6.2 gets better fuel mileage and has far, far less parts that will need servicing over the life of the truck.

Toyota makes a decent truck, but they've also had their fare share of issues/recalls with their full sized trucks. This isn't the forum to get into a pissing match about whose truck is better than whose.

I used to be a die-hard Chevy fan. But after our government took over GM, screwed Americans owning GM stock/bonds, fired a bunch of non-union workers, closed dealerships, and worse of all gave The New GM billions of tax dollars which amounted to nothing less then grand theft, I'll never ever ever buy another GM. And I'll be damned if I'm going to send Japan anymore of our dollars, even if it is a good truck and it is made in Texas!

Sadly that's a misconception, the Tundra has more American made parts, and like you said it's built in Texas, to be fair we lost how many in pearl harbor? How many did the nukes we dropped kill? If anything we owe them alittle bit.

All the makes will have their share of recalls, but the last time the Tundra had a recall with their motor was back with the early 07 and 08 models. They didn't change anything for 2014 with the engines, so it looks like they are approaching it from a conservative standpoint to see what everyone else is going to put out.

FYI, they attacked us.

Before you spout off about us needing to feel apologetic for using atomic weapons, you might do some research on atrocities committed by the Japanese during WWII. There were plenty.

I guess you would feel better if tens of thousands of Americans had died during an invasion of Japan and the War had gone on for several more years.

More American parts: as of 2013 (according to Toyota as I've not seen anything official or objective), yes you're correct. Otherwise, no. And the money you give Toyota still leaves this country.

YGTBSM! We owe them for WWII? They attacked us. And after a series of about 20 deadly naval battles, we ended it all with two bombs; two bombs which ultimately saved thousands if not hundreds of thousands of Japanese and American lives. FYI, the allies lost (sources vary) roughly 4 million military lives and 25+ million civilian lives in the Pacific theater alone. Sorry, I'm not giving Japan any of my money or winners guilt.

Have you been to Japan? They're not made at us. They feel shamed for what their country did. And you should be ashamed for even suggesting we owe them. Good grief our country is doomed.

I'm not saying Japan was right or wrong, but I do think it was not right for us to kill close to 140,000 people with one bomb. Depending on the reports or stats you look at it ranges from 90,000-140,000 people just from one bomb. The point is yes that probably stopped the war dead in it's tracks, but how many of those killed were innocent people not involved with the military? That would literally be like nuking Odessa and Midland Texas combined. I don't care what your reasoning behind why we did it is, it was wrong to do so and there is a reason there is a major push to get rid of these weapons due to the lingering problems with radiation.

Yes some money does goto Japan from the trucks, but some of Ford's money goes elsewhere as well. Ford has 60% american made parts, Tundra has 80%. So money is spent here for parts and components that are bought from domestic suppliers. Those parts and components are used here to build vehicles that are sold here, and the people that build them are paid wages that they spend here and bank here.

Your right attacking and killing people we should be ashamed as well. It's not a one sided coin, we both have red in our ledgers. Our country is doomed because the idiots in charge can't balance a pocketbook and make the hard decisions due to political reasons.

B.S., The toyota 5.7L is a gas thirsty pig and they figure the toyota sheeple will be fine for a while longer. They haven't met sales target any year since the redesign and are falling behind even more now (especially in the MPG dept). Why spend $$ on R&D when your product FAILS in sales? This is typical arrogant toyota. They know people will still buy them just for the name, regardless of what they update or in your case, don't update. I love the fanboi approach of toyota being conservative. Is that also the excuse you make for them when they should have recalled many vehicles prior to the gas pedal fiasco. toyota was too arrogant and either blamed customers for the poorly engineered motors (sludge) or would only offer a customer satisfaction fix when problems were brought in (rusted frames, stalling issues, brakes, electrical). Not until the gov't b!tch slapped them with fines did they finally step up and began recalling vehicles. Notice how they are the most recalled company out for the last 3 years

The US started an economic war with Japan first by cutting them off of their oil supply then they attacked the US. I think that the US would do the same to China if they tried to destroy the US with an economic attack by dumping a trillion worth of bonds onto the markets and killing the purchasing power of the dollar. Don't know how an F150 forum went here but I bought a Ford because they didn't take the bail outs, but I have driven Nissans for my last 2 trucks both traded in for $5000 with 300k+ and both combined had less problems and check engine lights than my 1yr old 50k Ford has had thankfully I'm still in warranty. Love driving the F150 when its running well but if the problems continue on I will be going back to the japanese vehicles. BTW whats with Fords worst in the industry vehicle warranties? 60,000 km in Canada ????
