Cool I will be the first guinea pig

Ok, I just ordered my JBA headers from truckperformance.com. They were 310.00 with free shipping. I called JBA and they said they sell for 459.00 dollars. They said thruckperformance is having a promotion and it wont last long. So I guess I jumped on it while they were so cheap. They should be here by the end of this week. I will put them on my truck Sunday or Monday. I will post the seat of my pants results. JBA said it will give me 15-20 hp depending on what other mods I have. Look at my sig to see what I got. I hope they work. If I get 15 hp I will be happy. And only 310.00 including shipping. That was just to good to pass up. Maybe to good to be true. I can only wait now.

Hi TucsonTruck,

Congratulations, let us know how you like them! A lot of V-6 owners have been waiting for years for these, so I'm sure many people will be very interested to hear your impressions, & good luck with your installation!

Thanks Mike. I have been looking at my exaust manifold. It doesnt look like it will be that hard. JBA said it is 3-6 hour install, but you know how that goes. Oh well. I got some new tools for Christmas to add to my ever growing collection. I've been waiting to try them out. You know thats hard beacuse Fords never break down...lol.

Andrew, I am not going to coat them. This is my reason behind it. I have had nickel plated before. Living here in Tucson, Az its hard to get anything to rust. I have not seen snow in the valley for 5 years. And it hardly ever rains. The only salt here is in the shakers. I have a friend that has Uncoated JBA headers on his mustang. He's had them for 3 years. They have turned a different shade but still no rust. If you live somewhere that you are prone to rust I would get the coating. Well I'm off to the Diamond Backs Game. They are playing the Breweres today. I love Spring ball. We have 3 teams in Tucson that do there training here.

What jba told you is interesting (about the hp). I spoke with joe stone at jba racing and he was tellin my that the headers will add 10-15 hp and 9-12ftLbs of torue on a stock motor. At any rate keep us posted on your impressions.

Lighting, I know, There always seems to be someone telling us different things. I guess it depends on who you talk with. You can call the same company and be told two different things by two different people. Oh well, I guess I will just have to see what happens when I get them. I spoke with JBA again today. They told me that the have headers on a prototype 4.2 he also told me that they haven't even got it on a dyno yet. He went on to tell me that they will be ready to ship next week. This is a different story then I got the first time. Well, when I do finaly get them I will post the results.
