I THINK I JUST COMMITTED A SIN........
Well guys, I told ya'll about all the cash I got for Christmas and I was asking ya'll what I should spend it on... Well, here's what I did. Instead of spending the $1300 on a lift now, I went and bought this dvd player Sony DVP-S570D DVD/CD Player for $349 :
So, now I'm gonna save up some more cash and swap out my gears for 4.10's and add the 4" Rancho 2wd lift this summer. Boy, kiss that gas mileage goodbye!
Geese.....if I keep spending soooo much money, i'll never have enough to buy my Suzuki Hayabusa.
Hey aggies, let's all get together sometime next semester. I'm sure we'd all like to see each other's trucks. The low-rider club
and motorcycle clubs meet at sonic on Harvey Rd. on the weekends. We should do something like that.
P.S. Is this DVD Player any good? I know jack ***** about em.
See ya'll around aggieland,

IIRC, that's Sony's third best DVD for consumer purchase. They have one above it that offers a few more bells and whistles, but plays just as well. Then, they have a top end "reference" dvd player that is supposedly one of the three best DVDs ever made. Granted, unless you have a HDTV with all the bells and whistles, you'll never see the difference between a $200 player and a $1000 player.
Do your next-of-kin a favor and keep spending your money -- so you keep that bike on your 'must-have' list instead of your 'must-replace' list.
You'll live longer -- and the yearning for ownership will never fade.
You'll live longer -- and the yearning for ownership will never fade.
It maybe be Sony's third best but most of their stuff is over priced and usually assembled right next to the Panasonic and Technics stuff. You could have done just as good for about $100 -$150 less. NOT trying to be a "flamer" here but let's try to keep it to Ford trucks and such. Glad you have so much money to spend.

DVD is a must have up in Aggieland. It makes time go by MUCH faster when football's not around
As for the rest of the stuff, have at it =)
And if you start a club in Aggieland, get a thread up and let everybody know. I tried it earlier, but to no success. Rumor has it you only need 3 members to create an officially sanctioned University Organization. The F150 Club of Aggieland? Hmmmmmmmmm

Used to work at Best Buy, and Sony is a great DVD player. Even if it is manufactured right next to Matsuschita(Panasonic, Quasar, Technics) panasonic's DVD player does not offer a twin optical laser pickup. Basically what that means is that it uses one laser for audio(sound) and one for video(picture). This is good so not as much wear n' tear are done on the product. Good choice.

FordMX,
I see in your sig your running the 295 BFGs with spindles and 3.55 gears. What is your avg gas mileage with that set-up? Do you like that height and width of the 295's? am considering a 3" spindle lift with a taller tire, currently I'm running the 265 BFG.
TIA.

Hey Split,
While I still disagree with this thread content on a Ford Truck site, it is every member's right to clear up misunderstaning as he or she sees it... I think you mean twin optics/pickups for reading either DVD-Video or CD discs (not separate audio/video decoding).
DVD-Video discs have greater storage capacity primarily because the "grooves" or tracks on them are narrower as compared to an Audio CD. Thus two different LASER "spot" diameters are required to optimally read either type (i.e. twin optics). Less "wear & tear" on the optics is only realized when these players are used as the only disc reading component in your system.
Sincerely, XLT_D

Darin,
I love the height on my truck with these tires, they are just right. With the RS9000's and the BFG's, I think the ride is BETTER than stock! I would absolutely reccomend the spindle/tire combo to you! Unfortunately, I cannot tell you how my MPG is doing, because I'm too cheap to get my speedo recalibrated
. When I get it done, I will let you know...

Hey Fordmx, well I used to drive a 1993 Honda CBR 600 F-2, but I sold it because I couldn't afford the insurance costs. It was nice driving over there in west Texas with open roads, but in East Texas....these crazy drivers will kill ya (Houston, austin, etc).
Oh yeah...what do you guys prefer? Fabtech 3" Spindles or the Rancho 4" suspension lift? I'm partial to Rancho...since I've been using them for a while, but I'd like a lil input from you fabtech guys before i buy my new stuff this spring. My gas mileage varies too much to even try to calculate my mpg.
OK AGGIES...LETS GET EVERYONE FROM F150ONLINE and F150WORLD (mostly the same people but there's a few others) and get together before the semester starts getting to hectic! Lets start making arrangements now or we'll never make a club.
Damn that was a long post..sorry guys.
