Its easy to make and took me about 20 minuts to do, here is how:
(1) Get my artwork and send it to a vinyl plotter guy to have him cut it out on a small sheet of "chrome mylar" vinyl. This vinyl sheet is very thin and has a sticky side. Shouldn't cost more than 5 bucks to do.
(2) Find a sheet of plastic (polystyrene) about 1/8" thick and apply the new SPI logo onto the plastic sheet. VERY CAREFULY, cut around the "chrome" square with a ruler and a exacto knife. Make small (not deep) cuts as to be more precise.
(3) By now you will hav two emblems, paint the sides flat black with a #2 or #3 brush. Take your time and don't paint over the chrome sticker!
(4) Get some 2 sided 3M tape and apply a band to cover the whole surface. Need I mention the opposite side of the chrome? Nanh!
(5) Clean your truck and apply the new badges under the F-150 logo like the Triton emblems!
(6) Walk away backwards (be carefull not to trip on anything) and proudly stare at your nice job
Since I installed my emblems, I went to car washes etc.. And no problems.
If you want my artwork, email me here at: eph1fifty@hotmail.com and I will send you a Corel-Draw artwork (plotter guys use this software) I use Illustrator 8.0 for you other designers out there!
