This problem started about a week ago. I have a 5 speed and whenever I'm on the freeway and then exit, my RPM's stay at 2,000 even when I shift out of gear and have it in neutral. I roll up to the light as if I had my foot on the accelerator. And then when I get going again, it's as if I don't take my foot off the gas pedal. I change gears at 2,000 RPM and when I'm going from 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, the RPMs will stay at 2000 even when I have the clutch in and no foot on the gas. Have an idea of what the problem might be?

Pull the plastic cover off of the trotle body, and check the throttle cable and linkages for binding. Thats probably the best place to start

Try to run the truck with out the superchip, that may be your problem. It all boils down to clean the contacts on the EEC-V computer.
DO NOT REMOVE THE GOLD ON THE CONTACTS!

Thanks guys for your replies. Big Bunnell hit it right! I took the throttle cover off and there was all kinds of build up on the cable. I sprayed it with some WD-40 and cleaned it right off. Thanks again for everything!
