do anybody know about swapping from manual locks and windows doors to power doors? is it an easy swap and everything work?

 

I've seen a few members on here do this mod. I think I've seen some use aftermarket kits, but most seem to get the OEM switches, be it either new parts or from a donor truck. Here is a good link with some documentation\diagrams on how to do the install. This particular swap was from an 03'. I'd try to find the switches and all from a 98' just to be safe, since it looks like yours is a 98'.

i'm changing the whole door. does that make a difference

 

This thread should be posted in the appropriate year truck forum or one of the body forums, not the V-6 engines forum.

To the OP, the whole door swap is actually probably the best bet, as long as you have all the components from the donor truck (window motors, mounts, hardware for the glass, etc.) I would post this in the electrical section, and find out what all you might need to add to your truck to wire up the power doors\windows.
