Might be the K&N truck has lower miles on the motor when they tested it. I know mine had about 145000 miles on it when I first dynoed it.

the K&N test truck was a 98, 2nd gear run, 125,287Miles on the clock. 86.88 degrees with the stock run, then with the K&N it says same mileage, was about 3 hours later at 90.74 degrees.
stock ran 166.24hp and with the K&N got 172.39hp

lol my intake came with the sheet when i bought it. i kept it with my insurance report for my T/A wreck and other car info i printed out awhile back. had it beside me in a bin when i read your post lol

Guess my motor is just more tired than I thought, but there are probably tons of other variables that make the numbers look way off, but whatever K&N says I'm still happy with what I've got now, sure beats taking the bus to work.

I think K&N is advertising HP @ the crank.

Plug in a ScanGauge II, and see what the HP says.

these are dynos. the HP @ flywheel would be about +40 hp higher anyways

ScanGaugeII isnt accurate for measuring HP, I've gotten mine to say 240 before

at the crank should be about 200hp since that is the engine's rating. these are rear wheel hp numbers altho i wonder about 4x4's. i wonder how much a 4x4 would put down compared to a 2wd.

why 2nd gear run? 1:1 direct drive is 3rd gear....

probably so they wouldnt hit the speed limiter. thats my problem. i want to get mine dynoed but my speed limiter is 100 and 4th gear is 1:1(manual) but 100mph is 4k in 4th. so ive been wanting to know if i could use 2nd or 3rd. so far, nobody has said yes, but i dont see how people get their vehicles dynoed in a 1:1 ratio if they have a lower speed limiter.
