Question Troyer stage 1

OK, they claim a 44-46 hp increase with the stage 1 kit. Does anybody believe this or have this kit on thier truck? MM.

I looked at this kit years ago. I ended up going with a Troyer tuned Xcal2 and AF1 intake set up. I'm not sure what gains I have as far as HP numbers, but the truck drives SO much better then stock. Personally, I would never put an aftermarket exhaust on a V6. I don't like the way it sounds at all. That was the main reason I didn't opt. for the whole stage 1 kit.

Very attainable numbers with that package. I have seen several of them installed and witnessed the benefits.

Check out supersixmotorsports first. Troyer wants too much money for that kit. Tuner, UDP, and Intake is about 35 HP, not 44-56 HP.

True that some vehicles respond better (more HP and TRQ.) than others to the mods in the Stage-1 kit, however I have never seen one that has not made at least 40HP. Your projection of 35 HP is certainly possible, but it is not the norm on a well maintained vehicle. Maintenance is relative to tuning.

Still SuperSix> Troyers. SuperSix has ported heads and all. Do what you wish but I think you could probably put this together for cheaper.

400$ for Tuner
275$ For UDP and Belt
60-150$ For Intake.

I got the stage one kit from Troyer minus the exhaust cuz I didn't like their catback kit. Not sure how much HP I gained because the place I had the truck dynoed stock gave me some bogus high numbers, something like 173 rwhp 256 rwtq...with my current mods, tunes and some dyno tweaking the best numbers I could make are in my sig. But the truck does run better and more mpgs so its all good.
