4.2l running extremely rough

my dads truck i s a 97 f150 xlt 4.2l 5 speed 4x4 hes been having big issues with thw engine .. 3 local shops and the local ford dealer doesnt know whats wrong it runs down the road but stutters and sputters it does it when the check engine light is on and alot worse when the check engine light flashes.. he has changed multiple springs , coil pack, cat converter, multiple injectors, when put on the machine it said misfire on cylinder 4 but we changed injector and everything on that side we are at a standstill and NO ONE can figure it out anyone ever encounter this .. sorry its not very descriptive

Intake gaskit

Could this possibly be the intake gaskit i here so much about? or maybe the computer, i dont know.

what about the O2 sensors and MAF? did you try and doing the plugs?

changed the gasket....plugs wires injectos updated the computer and has a new k&n air flow system replaced valve springs...

clean the MAF?

i had a spark plug break inside mine. 2 days after install. It ran like crap.

Make sure to use motor craft plugs, and wires. what about the coil pack? Did you check that?

im not sure what he used but it has all new coil pack, plugs, and wires. we will have to check the plugs again tomora

When you pull the plugs, do a compression test. If it's using coolant, you very likely have the intake gasket issue which will eventually cause the engine to hydrolock.
