Side exit exhaust

Im contemplating about re doing my exhaust as of now I have a flowmaster 40 in place of the stocker and a 3" echo tip sounds ok good tone not to loud. but a little louder wouldn't hurt and I really would like side exit with two 3" echo tips?

Im posting here because i want to hear it from a v6 im worried about sounding like a bumble bee.

Here ya go man, I think this is what you're looking for. I think that would look really nice on your truck coming out the side

i talked to flowmaster about a 40 and they said that muffler was designed for a v8, and that putting it on a 6 cylinder would make it sounds high pitched and not very impressive. They told me a deltaflow 50 would be much better suited for the v6 motor. I'm not speaking from experience, but I do have a 99V6, and am planning on putting a delta 50 with side exit exhaust, before the axel.

I have baisically the same question. I want to go with a DIDO muffler after the cats and exit the side with Silverline rectangular 7 3/4 x 2in wide tips. My buddies think i should throw an x pipe in the mix as well. Will x pipe do anything for me? Will i be better off with a SIDO set up? And I do have the 4.2L six. Any comments are appreciated.
Thanks

yes a x pipe will help but how much are you looking to spend? do you have a cai or tuner or do you plan on it?

Im keeping all my cats and doing a sido setup.

Yeah I do. Im thinking the stage 1 package Troyer performance offers. If i remember correctly it comes with an underdrive pulley, XCalibrator 2 tuner with 3 programs, Air Force One intake, and exhaust. I dont want their exhaust package because it goes out the rear and i want the side exit. I am actually going for a GT Racer look with the truck and i would like a little more power to match. BTW I am a former Marine 3531 Bravo Battery 1/12 Kaneohe Bay, HI. Semper Fi !!!

many DIDO mufflers already have an X built in. check the muffler first.
chambered mufflers sound the best on a V6. slap on a super 44 on there, and ull be good

Well Ive noticed that in my reasearch. The Cherry Bomb Vortex looked to be the most radical. But the reason i was told to use an X pipe was to reduce the raspyness before the muffler and give it deeper tone. Is this true? Plus i think the tip i want to use will change the overall sound as well.
