Washed Egine Question
Throwed a code this morning , #2 cylinder missfire . So the dealer that I bought it from is fixing it no charge . They have to do something in the plenum or something so while they have it they are going to fix the missfire problem for FREE ... Even brought me a Dodge Dakota to the house an hour away as a loaner truck since I have no time to work on it myself . I work 14 hours a day and need it running before Wed night for a trip to the river .
Thanks for all the advice and answers folks. .

It's a lot safer washing the V6 than the V8 - there's something to be said about old school spark plug wires and spark plugs out in the open sticking out the sides of the heads. The safest way is start the engine, mist it with degreaser, let it soak for a few minutes, then mist it off. Let it run for about 20 minutes with the hood closed to let the heat dry it out for you.
I'd never want to wash a new truck's engine... I even frown on washing the V6.
