Finally ordered my HID conversion kit!!

I read a thread about HIDs not being good in rainy weather so I was actually hesitant to buy them. I finally bit the bullet I ordered some yesterday that are 8000k, still pretty white and bright with a touch of blue. I have my diamond style clear headlights so I think the HIDs will shine nice and pretty out of them! I mean Ive already done so much to my baby, might as well give her a different eye color !

Congrats. I think you will regret going that blue the first time you drive it in the rain or fog though. I had 8K in my last car and wet weather really effects them, the bluer they are. That being said, the 8k looks sick. I love my 6K I have now, they have just enough blue. Post some pics when you get them done, you will love the HID's.

Ya Im still alittle worried about that, but luckily for me I live in the driest part of NM so we dont see much rain. When we do see rain we freak out and think Gods crying!!

lol. I really only found it an issue when the road was covered with fresh asphalt of the tar they spray on them. the little reflectors and signs light up really bright but the road... well, it's like it's not even there. Its really kind of weird. On the regular concrete roads it wasn't as bad.

Same here! I'm waiting for them to arrive! I have clear heads, and mine are 6000K. I see your an '00, so that means you have the 9007-bulb? Did you order from HID4U? I did but I hope mine are bi-xenon. Some of them said like HB4/9006 (low) while the HB5/9007 didnt say anything, so I hope so. Can't wait for them

The cops would have to be complete a-holes to give you a ticket on HIDs unles they were like aimed sky high. I know someone who has 30,000K + (pink) in his little 'Yota and he's been pulled over 4 times by staties but they all just argue with him that they need to be daytime bright. He argues that they are bright, just a diff. color. He's never been ticketed for them, all warnings.

PLUS the local bounty down here are prolly too retarded to know what HIDs are. I did see a little fart can Honda the other day with GREEN turn signals. I woulda stuffed a ticket so far up that guys....nvm.

12-14 is deep violet. 10 has mostly purple with some blue. got pics of your truck? higher K's would be ideal for show trucks in the city. for someone like me who lives 20+ mins out in pitch-black roads, I NEED them

I was referring to NEEDing my 6000K (which I currently have) instead of 12-14K to someone who lives in the city
