You'd have to email or contact SCT directly about canned tunes for the 04+. I know for a fact they don't have any for the 97-03 v6s cuz I asked. So my Xcal3 has just been sitting in a box for the past few weeks while I await my tunes from Troyer. All you can use it for is as a code reader. If you get it make sure you get the firmware update from their site. And one thing they forget to tell you is how to format the SDcard inside it. That took me 3 phone calls to find out why I couldn't upload a file to it.

Go to justin @ VMP he will take care of you. If you go to the Chip, Tuner & Programming section you will see everyone is going to Justin or PHP.


It took 2 weeks to get my Xcal 2 from Justin. had one problem with the MPG tune and ended up getting it replaced with a 87 perf. from a local tuner.

No problem for the 2007 truck. With the 2007 4.2L V6 F-150 XL, you will get canned tunes directly from SCT. It would certainly be cheaper if you only buy the tuner without custom tunes. See below:
