Im pretty sure its not the vents. Unless you mean vents by the pedals. I thought maybe it was coming from the boot. Since it is a little loose(thats where I run my power wire for the amp).

yeah thats what CAI do.. if you see them they are always smooth either metal or plastic. i think even one of the cheap kits on ebay would do better than stock but it might make you run lean..

nope never heard of them, personally id save the money and get a K&N or AF1 (i think thats the other good brand) or Airraid.

and to get the ribs out of the stock air tubing means replacing them... go take a look at it if you can get them out then let me know!

and no and ironing them wont help!

You will probably see the same gains from the ebay intake, but when the temps go back up you will feel the heat soak more due to the quality of the materials.

K&N Air Filter

Now I have been told the exact same thing about the K&N, but I've read poat on this site that if you get 0171 & 0174 codes when the service engine light comes on, to remove the K&N due to excessive oil getting on the MAF sensor and causing the problem. Seems to be a catch 22. Guess if you go the with the K&N, be careful of the amount oil you put on it & clean the MAF sensor when you service the filter.

ok since i drive 5 miles of gravel... will i have to clean it like every other day? and what does the cleaning consist of??? i mean u dont have to clean it with the kit everytime do you??? that would get kinda expensive... anyway... couldent you just flush it out with water... and only have to use the kit like once a year?
