I found several different places online. They all start at or about $220. Shipping varies. Amazon.com has a pretty good price. I like Amazon because I've been able to return things without a hassle. So far, it is still awaiting my attention. I'm lazy that way. It hasn't been installed yet. I'm waiting for my Troyer tunes to come in the mail. I'll have a muffler shop install headers and a cat back, then slap on the Airaid & load the tunes while I'm still in the muffler shop parking lot. With any luck, I'll be able to feel everything once I turn out of the driveway, top off the tank at a gas station next door, and hit the highway. The plan is to floor the accelerator with my lead foot and drive an hour down the freeway, turn around, come home, then fill up again to see what kind of mileage I got. Then I'll post the results and ponder if my tonneau cover had anything to do with it. Or just brag & BS everyone with how many miles per gallon I got with my Tornado.

Why don't you just make one out of some PVC pipe or something?

Got any support for that statement?

No doubt very hot or burning PVC can be nasty stuff to breathe, but it's a pretty big leap to say it will hurt your motor if you use it for an F150's intake tube.

I'm not saying its the best material in the world for this application, but the OP says he is trying to get by on the cheap.

I think everyone knows motors get hot and hot PVC releases some bad chemicals. You still have a long way to go to convince me it is going to hurt the motor.

Exactly what part of the motor gets hurt? How much dioxins are in a 4" x 2' peice of PVC? How much dioxins and phosgene does it take to hurt a 4.2 Ford? How hot does the PVC have to get before the bad stuff starts coming out? What % of the bad stuff gets emitted to the outside of the tube and how much goes into the motor?

Got any links we can verify or are you making this stuff up?

why would you want to be letting bad gases in there if you can avoid it?

Ok, I dunno whats going on, but putting freaking PVC on a motor is the worst idea ever. You might as well get a panti-hose and use that when your fan belt burns out....

Don't laugh - I've seen it done, but only with V-pulleys, not with serps.

I like it just fine.

Installation was not as easy as they make it out to be. But then again, I don't have a mechanical background.

According to the literature, it provides a 8 horsepower gain. I can't tell. I don't feel it. I don't know the difference. How many of us will really notice a gain of 2% to 3%?

Let's see how this works once I install the Magnaflow.
