Just got back from Advanced where I scanned my codes.

1998 F150 4.2


DTC P0125
Clsd Loop Fuel Ctrl
Insufficient collant Temp

I assume this is due to me needing a T-stat Which I am currently replacing

DTC P0133
O2 Sensor
CKT slow response
Bank 1 sensor 1

DTC P0171
system too lean
bank 1

I assume both of these due to the sensor? \
I do not know what side bank 1 is on though. Can someone help me out here?

You may actually be looking at a temp sensor not reading thus it goes into open loop and leans out the injectors thinking it is possibly overheating.

 

Actually I am almost certain it is the stat since when I drive it sometimes the heat doesnt even begin to rise. It stays close to C. But if I get on the gas sometimes and hit it just right the stat will open up and Ill start to get heat. But then just as quick it will stick again sometimes and Ill be driveing with no heat again.

What does anyone else think?
