Didn't care for the quit sound and then switched to the flowmaster 2chambers. For a v-6 truck that thing w/ the flowmasters sounded like a v-8 threw entire rpm range. Which I loved!!

HEY U CAN MAKE THAT TRUCK FASTER! WAY FASTER THAN A 4.6 V8 TRUST ME!!!!

RWHP 445.0 Torque 426.8

I don't think the engine weight difference, and a standard tranny could overcome those numbers. And BTW, is that you Talley? ,,,,98

My money is on Go_dzilla. Anyday. Any V-6. And at the end of the day, the V-8 will outhaul, out tow, and just plain sound better than the V-6. And Stompachevy - You ever raced a Lightning?

Just a Question Stompthechevy. For the Extra Money Stock, You could have gotten a 5.4 Liter (Which Gets Around The Same Milage as a 4.2 Does City) And Then Upgraded it...

If you had some cash to throw around, why didn't you just get the V-8 In The First Place for like 3K more?

There is absolutely no substitute for cubic inches. Get the biggest engine you can afford. I personally dont mind V-6 engines as a whole. I do not however like the 4.2 V-6 at all. Flame me all you want but the 4.2 is a glorified 3.8 and the 3.8 was a head gasket blowing P.O.S. (Trust me I changed plenty of them) Other then being more economical on initial purchase you gain nothing by having a V-6 instead of a V-8 in a pickup truck. As far as I am concerned Ford has never built a decent V-6 in its history. Now on the other hand the 300 inline six was a outstanding engine and I cannot fathom why they quit using it. It had awesome torque and power.

More Power: Are you looking for more power from your wheels? Whether you have a stock or aftermarket intake system, the Turbonator can add up to 35 horsepower to your vehicle.*

Ooooh, I need me one of those ,,,,98

And where do the subwoofers come into play in a race, besides to slow you down??

Thats why I got 6 of them.....

I had to smash them all with a sledge hammer to get them to fit into my air cleaner though......... But it was totally worth it.

I figure Im putting out over 400 HP now.

WELL BECAUSE IN GERMANY THERE IS NO TRUCKS AT ALL, THIS I FOUND BY LUCK. I WAS STATIONED OVER THERE IN THE MILITARY, AND WAS SICK AND TIRED OF ALL THE SMALLER VEHICLES, AND WANTED SOMETHING TO REMIND ME OF HOME. IM PROUD OF MY TRUCK, BECAUSE IT'S IMPRESSIVE WHEN U CAN SPANK A V8 WITH NO PROBLEM. NO LIGHTNING OF COURSE, BUT SURE TO EMBARRASE A FEW PPL.
