Question Gonna race a HEMI

My brother and I headed down to the Irwindale Dragstrip today in Irwindale, CA to check out the 1/8 mile runs. Since the track is open to any car, my brother and I decided to run our trucks next thursday. He's got an 03 Hemi Quad Cab with a Volant intake...that's it. I've got: Airaid intake, JBA Headers, 3" piping with FlowMaster 40 series, reprogrammed superchip, 4.56 gears with LS, the flex-a-lite dual electric fan setup, and a lot of ballls.

We both have 9" lifts rolling 35's. I have 16 wheels and he has 17" wheels. I know it might be kinda silly to run lifted trucks but we don't have cobras or corvettes so why not?

What else can I do to my truck for more speed??? PLEASE HELP AND RESPOND ASAP!!!

Put the stock tires back on if you have them. That would make a tremendous difference, also shed any extra weight that you can. Let us know how it comes out. Glenn Taylor.

No way! LoL! with 4.56 gears my truck will be screaming down the dragstrip!

Here's one, do they make 315/75R16 slicks?

your not gonna need slicks it wont help. If i was you drop the spare tires and the jack and take off the tail gate. and run with the least amount of fuel you can like right above E, that will be the best.

Sticking a set of smaller tires on it for the track would be the quickest way to "get" more power. With the 4.56 you are prolly close to stock gearing running 35s.

Stock tires, 5 speed and 4.56 gears - you just might win outright against his lifted, big tired Hemi, especially if you get a chance to practice your starts.

I'm just gonna take my chances and run with my tires. I would look silly with stock tires!

What performance upgrades can I do that would help??

Looking silly and beating your brother is even better. Makes that hemi look worse.
