EGR Valve
I'm new to this forum but need some advice. My 2001 F-150 V-6 has a sevice engine soon light. Went to Autozone and they scanned it for me and it came up with P0401. EGR valve. I have cleaned it and checked the connections but the light is still on. Any advice on how to reset the light? Thanks

My guess would be simply to unplug the battery & plug it back in?
Might take about 5 minutes. Not sure if it would fix it, there maybe a problem with the sensor..
There is a problem with the sensor on my ABS brakes and thus the light is continually on even though there are no problems..
My service shop said F-150's are known for sensor type problems.
