Doesn't that sound more than just a little dishonest to you?

Ethics and morality issues aside I think the computer might still be tracking the mileage some other way?

Walking is cool too but my bicycle gets me around pretty well.

Good luck.

I don't know if they are similar but I have a 92', and the vss (vehicle speed sensor) plugs into the rear end on the axle tube on the driver side. I unplugged mine for about 4 years. The tack worked fine but it affected the cruise control, speedometer, odometer and the abs light stayed on.

Question

Does anyone know the fewest lift points needed to remove all four wheels at once?

Also, what is the quietest jack on the market right now?

Another thing, is it possible for me to remove my battery without going to all the trouble of raising the hood?

If I did want to remove my battery from underneath, are there just wing nuts there or what size socket would I need?

and if I can do this, just wondering what year models could I do this too?

(I mean if I bought another year other than the one I have and I wanted to remove the battery without going to all the trouble of raising the hood.)

If I didn't have my key with me and I needed to get into my truck real quick, what would be the fastest and also the quietest?

What does gas taste like?

Let me see here

Raoul let me see if i can answer your questions

1. none...it really depends on how fast you are driving?
2. Sure if you use a air chisel
3. Whats a socket
4. all of them, its better if you don't own the truck
5. Put a big pillow against the centre of the rear window and kick it through, it keeps the sound and mess inside
6. Like rotten Oranges...or a stripper I knew once, funny story actually I was......oh never mind.

toddyman88, go buy a new gauge cluster and pop it in....boom 14000kms gone. By the way thats fraud and its bad, say hello to Ben when you get to jail......all new fish meet Ben...Ben Dover.

Thanks cnnseven I will check into it. Not bad, got one reply from a goatherder aspiring to be part time commedian, a ford engineer.....(nuff said), an ethics major and some other guy that must not live more than a block from where he rides his bike too. In case all of you have forgotten, Texas is a mighty big place and some of us prefer to live outside the smog and have to actually drive the vehicle we pay on and not just admire it from afar and ponder for a month at a time what brand filter to purchase next. I am as far from being a dishonest person as one can get but am a firm beliver that these trucks cost about twice what it takes to build them and and a third of what the crook at the dealer is selling them to me for. Think he would tell me if that fender had been painted before I buy OR offer to fix the intake gasket on my 97 4.2 when he knows all good and well that it is a engineering foul-up? Yes Mr. Ford engineer you know what im talking about! If you guys want to view me as being dishonest for trying to get a little extra warranty from something that WAS and IS being engineered to last just long enough to be out of warranty when it goes to crap then feel free, BUT dont let the glow of your halo blind you when you look in the mirror! Thanks for your support.

Un-hooking the odometer is like un-hooking your "man hood", its just plain wrong.

Question

I don't think these engines or trannies would know what to do if they didn't have that speed thing connected. The whole computer seems to basically run off of that speed gear. As well as a whole host of other sensors and stuff.

My truck shifted funny and just didn't seem to run right when I put on taller tires and didn't change the VSS gear to compensate. Sure, I was putting on less miles, but I didn't like the way the truck ran. I can only imagine how bad it would have run if it was disconnected all together....

Maybe just disconnect it and see what happens??? If it runs good, well, you've got your scam. If not, then you know someone already thought of that trick and that's why you can't do it.......

I bought my 98 F150 in mid August and have only put about 3,500 miles on it even with some trips. Just had to put that in, and also it is dishonest to cheat your warranty, not to mention against the law, even though thats already been mentioned, I felt the need to mention it again.
