Cool Redline Oil

Has any one used Redline in their auto tranny?

I've used the oil in my wifes car and using it in conjunction w/ a K&N oil filter is was cleaner at 6000miles when i changed the filter than any other oils i've seen at 3000.
It is nearing 10,000 miles and is ready to be changed but it still isn't as dirty looking or have the burnt smell that conventional oils do at 3000.
I'm going w/ amsoil on my next change.
It is a more cost effective product even if I change the oils at 10,000.
Amsoil says to change the filters at 12,000 and depending on which oil upto 25,000.
Going that route i calculated i'd save $$110 a year plus any time saved crawling underneth my two vehicles.
From experience and input from others i'd recommend redline or amsoil anyday.

I have yet to hear anything bad about Redline oil/ATF. http://redlineoil.com/prod_frameset.htm

Though I have not seen any information on their change intervals, which in my mind are one part that makes synthetics so attractive.

Amsoil's ATF can go 3 times what the manufacture recommends in an ATF, this will save you money plus give you all the other benfifits of synthetic lubricants.

So if Redlines recommended drain is longer than the manufacture(even 2 times) I would say go for it.

With either product I don't think you will go wrong over conventional oil/ATF

If the label states that it meets or exceeds Ford's Mercon rating, then it's fine for your transmission.

If it doesn't say it, you pay your money and take your chances. The wrong fluid can shorten the transmission's life.

A Redline rep once told me to change it every 12-15,000 depending on how much freeway driving I did. (less changes for more freeway miles.) I'm using NEOoil instead. (over the long term it's even cheaper.) NEO's good for ~20-25,000. I dump the filter's oil every 2500 and top off. Using a System1 Filter.

Sorry, I was talking about engine oil. I use Redline in all my trannies. Very little color change, no burn aroma, and smooth shifting. I dump the trans oil at ~17,000 or once a year whichever comes first.
