Wtf .093 ??
Wtf .093 ??
This shift kit calls for an .093 drill bit. Anyone know if there is something close in regular sizes like 1/16, 1/8 ect. They include every other drill bit and of course, can't go anywhere with the trans apart...
i did a search and found this...
http://rcvehicles.about.com/library/..._brushes03.htm
around the third or fourth paragraph down it says: "A #42 drill bit is .093" or the same as 3/32".
hopefully someone can verify this is correct before you go ahead and use it, just to be sure. hope this helps!

Yea it was the 3/32 bit but it doesn't matter now. One piece from the kit was missing and it happens to be the last piece to be installed into the valve body. It is a piece made by Transgo called an orifice. Man can't beleave this. I will have to leave it out until I can get one from transgo. This sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WLF Question
WLF,
Sorry to hear about the missing part. How would you rate the kit installation as a whole. I will be installing a kit in my truck next weekend. What set up did you use? I am nervous about taking my tranny apart. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Outdare,
I will post before the end of the week my results (after I get the part in that I need and test drive it). Right now I am too PISSED to be objective.
The vidio is very helpfull but there things with our trans that is not covered in the vidio (but covered well in the instructions). Also, I came up with an easy way to get the 2nd accumulator piston back into the trans (otherwise very tuff).
Look for my post (maybe thursday).

i put in a baumann kit. it did not have a video but the instructions were very clear. I got the kit and 2 valves shipped for 163.00. i talked to a guy named greg there. that sucks you didnt get a piece in your kit. that happens to me all the time but not with important things like the tranny. i always check the packing list and instructions to make sure everything is there. good luck getting the piece though.

Transgo kit has no packing list and you are told not to open any of the bags until it is time to use the contents. This is so you don't loose anything. Can't loose something you didn't get.
BTW, Transgo is overnighting the part to me so I should have it tomorrow. They were good to deal with on the phone. I'll let you know tomorrow.
