Bad 'whirring' sound from around Converter ?
The 1999 F350 SuperDuty has 95,ooo miles on it and has progressivly developed a Sound like Power steering pump going bad
-BUT-
I removed the Serp. belt and ran her with no varient in sound
Pretty obvious it is in the converter area
Fluid has been flushed by dealer resently and I run Sonnex/Tri-springs with a SuperChip
The fluid is fine and the temp makes no difference and Last night it was Loud!
The dealer is not very competent (local one) but I'm Gonna have to do something pretty soon though
This truck has a LOT of woopin' on it but it has been great
By no means has it been babied ....all 95,000 miles have been worked
Plus it has been down the drag strips quite a few times (17.03 1/4) lol
I am starting to get this random click @ Idle maybe the needle bearings are taking a dump?
Is the Converter taking a dump?
Thanks guys Keep'em comin
Jon
FWIW,I have searched the archives
