Does it matter which cooler line connects to which connection on the radiator?

I've replaced my lines (others damaged during tranny drop) with steel braided and need to know the flow direction.

Does the lower fitting on the trans go to the lower fitting on the radiator and upper to upper or does it matter?

 

I am almost positive that the upper fitting on the trans is the output line from the cooler.
