4r70w

I have a 01 f150 4x4 with a4r70w transmission will a 04 4r75w work .. I tried installing it already but having problems with speed sensor and overdrive and slipping going into 3rd gear the transmission was rebuild so it should be good

I think it was in 2004 that the number of targets in the tone ring changed. That will make your speed sensor read REALLY high. I don't remember the details, that was a long time ago on a program that I didn't directly work on. You may be able to find an electronic piece that can modify the signal back to what your computer needs to see.
