I have an 05 F150 5.4l 4wd. Last week I was on my way to work, stopped at a light, went to take off and truck moved very slow and did so reving to about 3k rpms, got a transmission malfunction and o/d light flashing, then went to second gear and did fine from there. I took it back home to drive a different vehicle and the drained fluid and replaced filter. No substantial metal in the pan and fluid looked good. Drove it again and did the same thing. I was able to retrieve a p0720 code and replaced the oss. Drove again and it still does the same thing. Reverse is fine and once it shifts past first it is fine. Is there anything else I should look for before having it replaced?

If it just sounds like replacement, any good online places for a rebuilt transmission?
