Transmission Problem

I have a 2004 Ford F-150 FX-4 with 77,000 miles. My transmission went out completely and a transmission shop "fixed" it with a complete overhaul. Lots of money. Now, when I drive it, from a complete dead stop, I accelerate and there is a hesitation and then a bump. Shifting from first gear to second has a noticeable clunk. (This doesn't happen all the time. Usually first thing in the morning, then leaving work for lunch and then for the evening.) The hesitation from a dead stop and a bump happens most every time. Shifting from second to third and on is very smooth and no problems there. When I took it back to the shop they couldn't get it to clunk from first to second, but he did notice the bump from the dead stop. He said it was normal. Should I go to another transmission shop?

The bump from a stop is usually caused by the slip yoke on the driveshaft. If it doesn't have enough of the right type of lube it binds and causes this bump.
