Installation help

Hi everyone, I need some advice. I have a 2004 f-150 with the 4.6 and the 4r70e transmission. I just finished rebuilding the transmission and am in the process of installing it. I can not for the live of me get the top driver side bolt in. All the other 6 bolts went in no problem. My question is, would it do any damage or cause problems if that bolt was not installed? It almost seems like something is blocking the bolt from going in. Also, does the vent tube bolt on the outside of transmission or does it go between the transmission and engine? I currently have it on the outside. Any help, advice tips would be greatly appreciated.

I would make sure the wiring harness isn't pinched between the case and the block
