What is this

found this piece after tearing apart my transmission, not sure if it's actually a piece of the trans or not but can't imagine anything else. Has two rubber nipples on either end

What year, engine, and transmission, and what exact fault code (by number)?

Its a drain back valve. It goes in the valve body.

Got drain back valve in but still no drive

Got the valve back in its home, filled fluid and starts right up. But still have to get to about 3500 rpm for drive to try to engage, reverse angages but I have to get the rpms up to about 1500 for it to kick in. All internal selenoids, the multiplux selenoid and the output speed sensor. Still had pending code 0720 for our put speed sensor circuit.
