need help installing 2000 f150 5.4L in 2002 f150 4.6L

I have 2002 ford f150 4.6L with 4r70w transmission my part truck is 2000 ford f150 5.4 with the same transmission I know I have to change the ECM and the transmission torque converter from earlier reply I read in the forum I'm using my old transmission so I guess I have to buy a new torque converter? Is there anything else that I need to change like pressure solenoid or pressure switch? Because of the year difference is there any other thing that I have to change on the engine thank you very much for your time.

why are you changing the ECM?

5.4 in a 4.6

I actually heard that the 4.6 converter takes the 5.4 4r70 to it's limits ,, it will work?? I'm thinking of doing a 2001 5.4 Expedition 4r100 too a 5.4 2000 f150 4r70w, I can't afford 2000$ grand for my transmission,, yr2000 was a mess I have YL3p any help an can it be done with a donor

Replacing a 4R70W with a 4R100 isn't as easy as you may think. You need a driveshaft, some wiring harnesses, and a different ECU. You also can't use a 2wd trans on a 4wd, or vice versa.

It always gets confusing when someone hijacks a thread.

Swapping transmissions

I'm sorry to take forum ,, I'm thinking of doing a DIY ,, I have a 2000 f150, 5.4 4x4, with a 4r70w,, I'm not trying to spend a 1000 on a rebuilt or a used transmission I have no info on,, I can buy a 2001 expedition , which has a 5.4 with a 4r100.. Cheap an I heard the transmission is way better, worth the little bit of work,, from what I see,, I need a harness ,, PCM aka ecu, EEC ,, I also need to custom the drive shafts,, torsion bar,, mayb weld 4 1/2 in on the cross exhaust pipe.. But also I can get a 2x4 same yr transmission but how hard is it to make it a 4x4,, an can I just rebuild my transmission cheaper an can it be done faster then the swap for a guy that never did it before
