well, when you're done hurting the transmission feel free to return it to stock line pressure and increase the line pressure mechanically via a "shift kit" ("seperator plate" or "j-mod")

you failed to tell us what gears the truck is equiped with and what size tire you are running...

how long have you had the line pressure cranked up via the pump? if it's been too long then you might be in need of a new transmission as nothing can help a failing pump besides a rebuild

Not from the factory. Ford has never used a converter with a stall speed that low.

That's still low. I would expect the stall speed to be closer to 2000.

Either the engine is low on power or the torque converter has failed and lost it's torque multiplying abilities. If the one way clutch inside the converter fails this will happen.

I know you are getting slip in the torque converter. That's how a torque converter works. Any torque converter that doesn't have any slip is called a clutch.

Once again, that's how a torque converter works. It slips until it locks. This is how it is supposed to work.

Torque converters were like this before electronic controls.
