trans seal and BUSHING????

I would like to replace a leaky rear tranny seal on my 1998 F150 with a 4R70 trans. According to my service manual I should replace the bushing also. What bushing are they talking about. There is no info on replacing this bushing in the manual, just to replace it. When I've gone to the parts store and asked about the part they aren't sure what I'm talking about. I'd appreciate any info anyone can share with me about this. Thanks

When you take the extension housing off the trans to replace the seal look inside it. There is a bronze bushing at the very end of the housing. It's always a good idea to replace this bushing when replacing the seal. The bushing is less than $10.

I think you need a better parts store if they don't know about this bushing. When they look up the seal the bushing is listed right next to it. I used to look up parts, I don't see how they don't know this.
