04 trans in 98?

04 trans in 98?
mine has a tag saying pkf-BB big 8B on side. his says pkf-dg1, and he said its out of new style truck. should i just have him rebuild mine? or will this work?

no tone rings have different amount of groves. this has been asked and answered many many times on this site

you can make it work relatively easily and cheaply. I have an 06 trans in my 2000

Is it a 4x2? If so no, as the '97s and '98s have a mechanical speedo cable attachment.

Bink, what are the door jam sticker codes for TRANS that will actually tell you what trans models ya'll have.
