Question transmission question

ok have a 2002 f150, it has a 5.4, not sure what trans is in it.

I was wondering is there a way to get it shift a little more firmer then it does right now.

Is there like a shift kit for tansmissions still, that increases the pressure that it takes to shift, for the valve body. Think like spring changing????

Or is it a computer tunning thing to make trans shift firmer??

thanks
marc

You can do it either way on your trans.

Do it with a programmer, because that can also modify the engine. CUSTOM tunes would be best.

The transmission and engine are both controlled by the PCM, so a programmer with custom tunes will adjust both.
