Looking for ways to keep tranny temp down.

the test port is on the drivers side. i think it actually says test port next to it

Thanks Str8t six, Didnt see any letters, probably due to the grim. But did a quick search just to get the general location and for any one else wondering where there test port is located check here. http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums...emp-gauge.html
Its a 4r70w on a stang, but i believe they have the same castings or atleast located in the same place.

anyone ever compare the temp of a guage at the test port location to the readout on a scan guage or similar device? dont know for sure where the factory sensor actually senses from

Yes I have. The factory sensor is on the solenoid body inside the pan. The test port is usually within about 15°F of the pan temperature. Sometimes it's higher and sometimes it's lower.
