drain plug in TC?

2002 Lincoln Blackwood truck. Does it have a drain plug in the torque converter? Thanks

Unlikely, the last year the F150 had one was 2001.

My 2002 FX4 does not have one. My last truck a 2000 F1504x4 did have a drain plug.

The first two months of 2002 production had a drain plug in the torque converter. Most 2002s did not.

That all depends. You can drop the pan every 20k miles or so and refill the pan. I'd install a drain plug and filter the first time and a new filter every 3rd time. In between, just drain from the plug and refill.

This is what I do.

Or you can use the procedure of disconnecting the cooler line and pump out a few qts, add a few until it runs clean. There is a procedure to do this posted somewhere on this site.

Or you can simply take it to a place that has an exchange machine.
