What 4r70w transmissions fit a '95 F150 2wd?
hello, help me please, will a 4r70w out of a 97 f150 with a 4.2 work in my 94 f150 5.0, both trucks are 2wd, and will I be ok using torque converter out of the 97? thank you for your help.

All of that should work. The Torque converter clutch solenoid is different, but you can use the newer one with the older vehicle. The other way around wouldn't work. Torque converter should be fine too.

Thank you for the quick answer! I needed verification bad. It is a sweet deal the donor truck is a sweet 97 f150 xl with a blown 4.2. after I do the trans swap I will have the 115000 mile donor truck body free and clear to build on! thanks again.😃

Yes I do, please. I've already bought the engine (a reman 5.0) and I just want to get the right trans in so I won't have to go through this again. A guy has a 4r70W out of a 95 cougar and he thinks it might fit. I looked at some pix of a 4r70w online and I'm going to see his tranny on saturday. But any help you can give me will still be appreciated, thanks again for all you help.
