94 5.8 4x4 was converted to a 74 carb 351w.has the e4od tranny in it.I want to take out the computer and install another tranny.what other tranny will bolt right in?I'm looking for a c6 but is thatg the only one with out a computer?

 

You could get an AOD, too. A stock AOD is probably going to have a short life behind a 5.8L, though. They can be modified to take it.

 

AOD is a step backwards. You are pretty much looking at a C6. You can keep the E4OD and run a stand alone tranny computer like the Baumanator. The E4OD can be built extremely tough, if the right person is doing the work
