Slow shift into reverse 2001 supercrew 4X4

I have a 2001 F150 supercrew 4x4 5.4 with 111,000 miles. The problem is when I shift into reverse it takes 15-20 seconds to engage. All foward gears work great. It seemed to get worse after I had the fluids flushed. Any help would be great as this truck will make a trip from MI to Nevada in a few months.

Thanks

sounds like the internal seals are starting to leak and bypass.

Might be a sticking valve in the valve body since it eventually goes in.
