Trans Fault - Temp sensor?

I just swapped in my PI torque converter and I'm getting the Trans fault code and blinking OD light.

Shifts fine, even going into OD.

I noticed when I hooked up my diablo and try and read information it says my tranny temp is 380 celcius and getting no voltage from the trans temp sensor. So I'm assuming it must of got unhooked?

Anyone have pictures of what I need to look for when i drop the pan?

found this diagram to check the voltage outside to confirm. I'll do that first thing in the morning..

verrified this morning with a good scanner that is a trans temp fault, no voltage read.

Somehow a wire must have got pinched or unhooked... now time to search for it.

ive seen alot of people when they remove these trans pinch the wires on the right upper hand of the trans when putting them back then. what else did you do other than putting in the convertor.

dropped the pan and put a filter in.

I dropped the pan again and made sure all the connections were good(incase I knocked something around when pulling the filter). I checked for any pinched wires or un hooked connections in the pan. Also checked like you said(i read in some searches) for pinched wires on the upper parts of the transmission. Nothing. Harness was loose except for being bolted down on the driver side upper bolt.

I just left the truck on the lift and I will have to tackle it next weekend.

You are going to need to do a continuity test from the case plug back to the computer. Sounds like a wire either got pinched or stretched. Hopefully it's easy to find and simple to fix.

Yeah I should have done that while I was there this weekend. I was getting frustrated and needed to head back home 200 miles away.
