Trans light flashing

The other day I had some minor slipping. Almost like a jumping. Didn't happen but once and then it went away.

My truck sat over the weekend without being driven. I was leaving for class and when I pulled out onto the main road the back of the truck was jumping really bad. I got up to 60 and it was fine and I looked down and the trans or differential light was flashing. So I turned back and got my sisters car....4 bangers suck.

Going to take it into work and have the dealer look at it. Hopefully it's nothing major.

how many miles? ever had the fluid changed? sounds like torque converter shudder. pretty common in the older 4r70w's from what i read when i had my old t-bird. the switch to mercon V was supposed to all but eliminate the problem from what i was told.

depending on what the dealer says, you may just want to try changing the fluid.

Had the same issue with my 03 Expedition at about 80k miles. Tranny would slip and the OD light was blinking. Turns out the tranny cooler was clogged. I installed a second tranny cooler about 2 years ago (cost about $40) and I have not had a problem since.
