4R70W and 4R75E Transmission Pans

So what are our options?

TCI Deep pans for about $150

B&M Deep Pans for $172.95

PML Deep Pans for $195+

Hughes Deep Pans for slightly over $200

Mag-Hytec's for $250+

I understand that the gaskets are reusable on our trucks, so I'm curious why all the pans except PML come with gaskets, to which they state their pans are "machined" for fords reusable gasket.

Comments Suggestions?

Yes I searched.

Simple as he is not a "vendor" for this "forum" (sponsoring vendor or some goofy way of saying it), for example, you see Troyer Performance in the chip/tuner section and he is allowed certain privvies. I've supplied his contact information in my signature if you're willing to do your part and click the BC Auto link

All depends on exact circumstances. I've dropped my tranny pan multiple times in a day before trying to prove someone wrong. I've also yanked a trans 3 times on my truck. Its not something planned, but those reusable gaskets actually work pretty well, better than that transgo shift kits gasket did.

thanks for the explanation klitch.

Your pan looks like this one maybe?

http://www.americanmuscle.com/mustan...span-auto.html

doesn't look like the manufacturer is listed, but it's definitely cheaper.

Concerns would not necessarily be the pan itself, but whether it fits well with suspension crossmembers of the truck.

however yours strikingly resembles the one I got.

That isn't at all true of the factory pan gasket on these transmissions. Those things are absolutely lifetime re-usable. They are nothing short of the best gasket known to man. Not re-using one is absolutely foolish because any and all of the aftermarket gaskets are inferior and do leak where these don't.

Obviously you haven't had one in your hands to know what I am talking about.

Factory re-usable gaskets are nearly always top notch...

My viper valve cover gaskets are reusable... Which is a good thing because a set is $450 COST!

Darrin, Ill try and call you sometime this week when time allows.
