6L3P and 1L3P - are these interchangeable?

So here is my trouble - I got a 2006 F-150 XLT 4x4 with a 4.6L engine. Suddenly my 4-th gear disappeared. Since I'm in Europe and automatic tranny service is a luxury here, I figured out that the best thing to do is buy a remanufactured transmission from a company named americancarz.com and have it shipped to Europe. So I did
And here is the problem - the original tranny has 2 sensors:

while the replacement has only one sensor:

Has anyone had this problem? How do I do the swap?
If I have to return this tranny back to US it will cost me a lot, so I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks people!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that won't work. Your truck uses the turbine shaft sensor and there is no provision for one on that 'new' transmission. The next trouble will be that it is a 4R70W where you have a 4R70E. The W uses a 6 'hole' output shaft ring gear and the E uses a 24 'hole' output shaft ring gear. What that will do is cause extreme short shifting and the speedometer to register 1/4 the actual speed.

Bad news I know, but did you spec the transmission or did they?

There is also an icky-nasty that's gonna leak paper gasket in place of the wonderfully awesome factory lifetime re-usable rubber pan gasket that never leaks. WTF is up with that?

Cutting a corner there seriously concerns me about the rest of the job.

Thanks Darrin for your quick reply, so you suggest that I send back this transmission and request another one? Right, bad news...
Which one is the W?
Thanks

Your truck uses the 4R70E and that is what you need. Definitely, positively you need a 4R70E that has the provision for the turbine sensor and has a 24 tooth count on the ring gear instead of the 6 holes.

What they sent you unfortunately is a 4R70W. Very bad of them to do that if you told them the specifics on your vehicle.
