rattling noise at idle

Im looking to buy this 99F150 5.4 automatic. I noticed after they cranked it it started making a rattling, clinging sound from underneath. sounds like a shield or exhaust rattling against something but I saw nothing., when I put it in gear it stopped only comes back in park., any suggestions what I should look for or what it could be, cant be nothing serious I wouldnt think, it shifts perfect and runs good

My truck does the samething on cold starts. It is the exhaust - but, I can't find what is actually rattling. If I go out and put slight pressure on the tail pipe it will stop the rattle. It drove me crazy for a while - then I got past it, knowing that after it warmed up it would go away.

Let us know if you find it..

It is one of your exhaust heat shields my truck does the same thing i don't know which one it is but i think it is the ones on the catilitic converters on the down pipe. Not a big problem just one of the quirks of the trucks, just remove the cats and problem solved .
