Hey Guys,
I have a friend that has a 2002 F150 with 5.4L engine, and the transmission seems to have gone out. Will not move forward but will move in reverse. I was wondering if I can swap out the trans in the truck with one from a 2003 Mustang GT that has a 4.6L engine? There is one at a local junk yard with low mileage. If no one knows the answer to this, can anyone tell me if there is a compatability chart online that will tell me the answer?

It's not a direct swap and it's definitely a weaker transmission. If you have a 4x4 then it's not at all any sort of direct swap. A 4x4 transmision is a totally different animal.
